From Kinshicho, Toei Bus 錦25 or 錦27 brings you to Fuji Wellness in Matsushima, Edogawa City, in about 15 minutes. This guide compares the train, the airport bus and Haneda’s fixed-fare taxi to Edogawa, with tips for dawn arrivals.

Landing stiff and sore? You are not the only one

Long-haul travellers, for example from Canada, often message us before they fly: a 13-hour flight is hard on their neck and shoulders, and they want to book a session for their first days in Tokyo. Haneda is the closer of Tokyo’s two airports, so reaching east Tokyo is quick. You can be at your Kinshicho hotel, or at our door, within about 90 minutes of leaving the arrivals hall.

The routes in detail

Option 1: Keikyu to Shinagawa, then JR Sobu Rapid

This is our recommended route. Follow the signs to the Keikyu Line in your terminal (Terminal 3 for most international flights). Take any train toward Shinagawa or Sengakuji. Airport Limited Express trains reach Shinagawa in under 20 minutes.

At Shinagawa, go through the Keikyu–JR transfer gates and follow the signs for the Yokosuka Line / Sobu Line (Rapid). These trains run underground through Tokyo Station and continue east to Kinshicho in about 21 minutes. They also stop at Shin-Koiwa 6 minutes later, which is the closest JR station to our clinic.

  • Total: about 45 minutes and ¥590 (¥580 with an IC card) to Kinshicho, according to Ekitan. Use a Suica or PASMO for both legs.
  • From Kinshicho: Toei Bus 錦25 or 錦27 from the South Exit to Komatsugawa-keisatsusho-mae, about 15 minutes, then a 3-minute walk.
  • From Shin-Koiwa: bus 新小21 or 新小22 from the South Exit to Keiyo-kosaten (about 10 minutes, then a 5-minute walk), or about 20 minutes on foot.

The Keikyu Haneda access site has terminal maps and timetables.

Option 2: Keikyu through to Oshiage, then the Hanzomon Line

Many Keikyu airport trains run through onto the Toei Asakusa Line. If yours is heading for Oshiage, Aoto or a Keisei destination, you can stay on to Oshiage (Tokyo Skytree) and change to the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line for one stop to Kinshicho. That takes about 55–60 minutes and costs about ¥650. It is a good choice if you are staying near Asakusa or Skytree. For Kinshicho itself, Option 1 is faster.

Option 3: Tokyo Monorail

The Tokyo Monorail runs to Hamamatsucho. From there, take the JR Keihin-Tohoku or Yamanote Line to Tokyo or Akihabara and change again for the Sobu Line to Kinshicho. That is about ¥730 and two changes. It mainly makes sense with a JR Pass, which covers the monorail.

Option 4: The airport bus to Kinshicho

Airport buses run from all three Haneda terminals to Kinshicho for ¥1,200 (children ¥600). Keikyu Bus runs a route to Kinshicho Station, Ryogoku and Tokyo Skytree Town, and accepts IC cards. The Tobu Hotel Levant Tokyo, near Kinshicho’s North Exit, lists Airport Limousine buses from Haneda at about 60 minutes, departing roughly between 11:40 and 19:00.

Buy tickets at the counter or machine in the arrivals hall. Your suitcase goes in the hold, and you sit all the way, which is easier on a sore back than station stairs. Times depend on traffic, and buses do not run for dawn arrivals.

Option 5: Fixed-fare taxi from Haneda to Edogawa City

Tokyo’s fixed-fare taxi system from Haneda covers Edogawa City. Under the fare chart in use since 20 April 2026, published by the Tokyo Hire-Taxi Association, the fare from Haneda to Edogawa City is ¥9,000, or ¥10,500 between 22:00 and 5:00. Sumida City (Kinshicho) is ¥9,100, or ¥10,700 at night. Expressway tolls are added on top. You do not need to book from the Haneda taxi stands. Look for a taxi marked for fixed fares and confirm the fixed fare with the driver before you set off.

For two or more people with luggage, or when trains are not yet running, this is often the most comfortable way to reach us.

Dawn and late-night arrivals

Some overnight flights, for example from Australia and some from North America, land at Haneda very early in the morning. A few practical points:

  • Trains start early. The first Keikyu and Monorail trains leave Haneda a little after 5:00. Check the timetable for your day.
  • Weekend mornings suit early arrivals. On Saturday, Sunday and public holidays we open at 8:00 (until 12:00). If you land around 5:00–6:00 and clear the airport by 7:00, a mid-morning session is realistic. Booking 9:00 or later gives you a buffer for delays.
  • Weekday mornings start at 9:00, with afternoon sessions 14:00–17:00 Monday to Thursday. We are closed on Fridays.
  • Late-evening arrivals: head to your hotel, rest, and book for the next morning. After 22:00 the taxi fixed fare includes the late-night rate.

Hotels often will not let you check in until mid-afternoon. A morning session can fill those hours more comfortably than waiting in a lobby. We work by appointment only, so message us your flight number through the contact page or WhatsApp and we will suggest a realistic time. Our booking guide for short trips explains what to prepare.

Luggage tips for arrival day

  • Same-day delivery from Haneda. JAL ABC’s counter in the Terminal 3 arrivals lobby offers same-day delivery to hotels in several Tokyo wards, reported to include Sumida and Edogawa. Bags dropped off before 16:00 arrive by 20:00. Yamato and others offer next-day delivery.
  • Coin lockers are available at Kinshicho Station, but large lockers fill up fast.
  • Use lifts at Shinagawa and Kinshicho. The Keikyu–JR transfer at Shinagawa is long with a big case.

Arrival-day recovery, and when to see a doctor

The CDC notes that pain, swelling or warmth in one leg after a flight can be a sign of a blood clot (DVT). See a doctor the same day, and do not book acupuncture or massage for that leg. Call 119 for chest pain, sudden breathlessness, coughing blood or fainting.

If you are otherwise well and simply stiff, NCCIH summarises research suggesting acupuncture may help some people with neck or back pain, although results vary and evidence is limited. We do not promise any particular result.

What is the fastest way from Haneda Airport to Kinshicho?

Take the Keikyu Line to Shinagawa and change to the JR Sobu Line Rapid, which runs direct to Kinshicho. The trip takes about 45 minutes and costs about ¥590 with one change. A taxi can be similar in time when traffic is light, but it costs much more.

How much is a taxi from Haneda Airport to Edogawa City?

Under Tokyo’s fixed-fare system in use since April 2026, a taxi from Haneda to Edogawa City costs ¥9,000, or ¥10,500 between 22:00 and 5:00, plus expressway tolls. You do not need to book at the Haneda taxi stands. Confirm the fixed fare with the driver before you leave.

Is there a bus from Haneda Airport to Kinshicho?

Yes. Airport buses run from Haneda to Kinshicho for ¥1,200 for adults and take about an hour, depending on traffic. Keikyu Bus serves Kinshicho Station, and Airport Limousine buses stop at the Tobu Hotel Levant Tokyo. They do not run for very early morning arrivals.

My flight lands at Haneda at 5 a.m. Can I visit Fuji Wellness that morning?

Often, yes, especially on a weekend or public holiday, when we open at 8:00. Trains start a little after 5:00, and the trip to the clinic takes about 75–90 minutes. Booking a mid-morning slot leaves room for immigration delays. We are closed on Fridays, so message us your flight details first.
